The mists around the enormous Mount Fuji in Japan almost obscure the great peak completely. Only at the very summit does the view become clearer, matching the darker trees in the foreground. With its wealth of grey and white, the centre of the image offers a shifting miasma of mist and cloud that draws the eye repeatedly, conjuring thoughts of travel, wild walks and the beauty of the planet's natural phenomena.
