The traditional technique of flower pressing is presented in a modern fashion with these colourful specimens by Ben Wood. The image is illuminated from underneath to bring out all of the fine detail. The light beams through the handmade paper in the background and adds a wonderful textured grid-like pattern. The deep red colour is pleasantly rich in tone and really jumps out against the grey surround. Another highlight is the natural symmetry of the plant specimen.
